About
Hi, I’m Biggi Hofmann.
I offer creative, relational, and transpersonal psychotherapy shaped by decades of work with individuals, groups, couples, trauma, supervision, and community settings.

My story
Biggi’s journey in Northern Ireland began in 1978 when she arrived from Germany to work and live in a Camphill Community. Later, after becoming a mother of three sons, she completed her third-level education at the University of Ulster Jordanstown and continued into psychotherapy, counselling, and psychodrama training.
Across decades of practice, she worked in North Belfast during the Holy Cross dispute, led psychodrama groups, supported clients affected by political and social trauma, taught at Queen’s University Belfast, developed counselling training, and moved into clinical management, supervision, suicide intervention, and postvention work.
Today the emphasis is on the creative and transformative edges of psychotherapy: helping people face what is difficult, reconnect with vitality, and move toward more integrated ways of living.
Training and approach
Creative methods, clinical depth, and a steady relational style
Psychodrama psychotherapy
Action-based psychotherapy that helps people encounter scenes, roles, and relationships more directly than conversation alone.
Mind-body and symbolic work
Hypnotherapy, regression, sandtray, symbolism, and imagination all support deeper integration.
Couples and relational understanding
Relationship patterns, intimacy, communication, rupture, and repair are treated as living processes.
Trauma-informed pacing
The work honours intensity without rushing it. Safety, containment, and readiness matter as much as insight.
Current emphasis
Private practice, retreats, supervision, and consultancy
Private therapeutic work
Individual, couples, and group work for people facing grief, anxiety, trauma, emotional blocks, or major transition.
Retreats and workshops
Residential retreats, themed workshops, and reflective group spaces held with warmth and structure.
Supervision and organisational support
Clinical supervision, consultancy, and creative facilitation for therapists, teams, and organisations.
